When our co-founder and CEO decided to get hitched last spring with an intimate family wedding in the backwoods of Athens, the rest of us had no choice but to find a way to get there and crash the party. Requirements: a safe, convenient, affordable alternative to hitch-hiking. Luckily, our friends at FurBus came to the rescue. Our 12-person, pimped-out school bus (AKA, The Chariot of Debauchery) met us in Atlanta, and we loaded our carpool down with snacks, beers, hard booze and a little concoction we like to call “Nightmare Juice.”
A good gauge for the amount of fun you’re having: the number of jealous glares and attempted hop-ons you get along the way. Admirers waving to us in traffic: we lost count. Bribes from fellow wedding guests attempting to ditch their family to ride back with us: roughly 8. Gas station attendants and/or Waffle House waitresses wandering aboard: 2. If there was such thing as a Pied Piper of Partying, I’d imagine he looks a lot like our driver, Stacy, in tacky bow tie and cumberbun.
